I regard the Patriot Act as the greatest threat to individual freedom in the history of the US. It was created in good faith, and justified as a means to track down terrorists and defeat the terrorism threat.  But, it can just as easily target US citizens.

 The intellectual establishment and glitterati see the protest movement/chaos in Egypt as the first step to democracy.If the history of such movements holds true, there are powers behind the scenes who would manipulate these demonstrators and will likely eliminate any capable democratic leaders and plug in their own.

Ford seems to be doing something right. [For one, they don’t have Rick Wagoner and his legacy to deal with].

The Richard Holbrooke Beatification ceremony by the Washington Post appears to be in the works.  He was an energetic and clever fellow, who, under other circumstances, would likely have been assigned to the dustbin of history. 

“After 58 years, the once-sprawling Cabrini-Green housing complex [in Chicago] closed its last high-rise today as the last tenant moved out.”

The greatest danger in these WikiLeaks releases is the identification of sources of information, whether casual or clandestine.
